Pastor Bob Hallam

Lead Pastor

Robert Hallam was born and raised 20 miles south of Boston and saved at the age of 9 in Walpole, Mass. While he didn’t grow up in a Godly home, he was honored to be mentored by the same man, who not only led him to the Lord, but continued to speak into his life even after he married and went into the ministry. Robert (or Bobby as his wife calls him) loves people and can’t go anywhere without talking with a friend or making a new one (he can talk to a wall and have a good conversation.) He loves all his Bibles, bold coffee, hunting and all things Boston. He is the coolest Yankee you will ever meet.

Alaine Hallam

Lead Pastor

Alaine was born in Detroit and raised mainly in central Florida in a Godly home. She gave her heart to Christ as a very young girl and has always been part of a choir or worship team in obedience to God’s gifting. Alaine did not always want to be in full-time ministry, but God changed her heart and mind in 1992 when God told her that, “behind the pulpit is where Bobby needs to be.” She has never looked back on the calling God has for them and she is dedicated to be by her husband’s side. Alaine’s favorite season is Winter, she loves all things Christmas, loves to read books and create handmade Cards and she CANNOT talk to a wall like her husband.

Kayla Robertson

Children's Director

Outreach & Social Media Manager

Kayla recently moved back to her roots in Somerset County with her husband and their two sons. She homeschools her children and has worked in child care and children's ministry during different seasons of her life. Kayla and her husband have worked together in ministry as houseparents at a home and school for troubled teen boys. She plans to use the wisdom and skills she learned there and apply it to her work as the Children's Director. Kayla enjoys photography and has always had a heart for children's ministry. She looks forward to using her gifts, skills, and talents to serve at Cornerstone Church and the tristate area.

Connor Applegarth

Youth Pastor

Connor has been a youth pastor since graduating from Christian college in 2021. He has been involved in ministry since he was born and has a huge heart for youth. He looks forward to continue growing with our youth as they start learning to take on the world.

Brooke Applegarth

Worship Pastor

Being born into and dedicated in the church, Brooke has attended Cornerstone her whole life. She started leading worship in 2016. She has been part of numerous worship teams, inclulding PennDel Young Adult Retreat team. Brooke's passion is worship with music and creating an atmosphere of praise where the Lord can inhabit.

Brenda Short

Business Administrator

Brenda has been a part of the Cornerstone Family for over 33 years. A Salisbury, PA native, she has a heart for the ministry to the people of the Casselman Valley. Brenda has held the Administrator position since 2001. Prior to that role and being the church secretary, she was the volunteer Children’s Director from 1996-2004. Brenda uses her previous experience as a bank head teller/supervisor and factory secretary with her administration work. Brenda enjoys spending time with her husband, two sons and their wives, and her three grandchildren. She especially enjoys cheering on her grandkids in their extracurricular and athletic endeavors. Brenda is thankful for all God is doing and is excited about seeing miracles happen in hearts and homes of the people in the Casselman Valley.

Lisa Kemp

Church Secretary

Lisa was born and raised in Salisbury, PA. She has been a member of Cornerstone Church for 33 years. Before becoming the church secretary in 2016, she was a bank teller, an in-home childcare provider, a local business secretary, and a Head Start preschool teacher. Sharing the love of Jesus is one of her greatest joys. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, their adult children, and five grandchildren. Lisa has a servant's heart and loves to be active in the ministry of the church. She is excited to see what God has planned for the Casselman Valley and for years of prayers to be answered.
